Objective:The purpose of this research was to elucidate and study the psychometric properties the questionnaire of emotional orientation in the sexual relation. The present study is descriptive with the aim of developing and reviewing properties of the questionnaire of emotional orientation in the sexual relation. Method: The statistical population of the study was married women in Babol in 2017.Also, statistical sample includes those referred to Babol counseling centers that among 300 were selected by non-random sampling method. Research tool was Alibadian and Hasanzadeh (2011) questionnaire of emotional orientation in the sexual relation. Data analyzed via confirmatory factor analysis method using Smart PLS software.Result: The results showed that the goodness indicators of fitness of the model in loading the three factors of the emotional orientation questionnaire in the sexual relation showed acceptable values.Conclusion:Questionnaire of emotional orientation in sexual relationships can be used by family therapists and psychologists to measure the emotional orientation of individuals.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of motivational interviewing in reducing emotional eating and anxiety considering the moderator role of impulsivity in obese people. Method: This is a quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest and control group. 20 obese patients, who had referred to Jooyandegane Salamat, Dr. Sobhani and Rosha diet therapy clinics at Mashhad, selected voluntarily regarding inclusion criteria. Results: ANCOVA results showed that levels of emotional eating (F(1,15)=5/89, P≤ 0/05) and anxiety (F(1,17)=6/87, P≤0/05) have significantly reduced in examination group. Also, it was found that impulsivity has not a moderator role in the effect of motivational intervention on emotional eating. Conclusion: the Motivational interviewing is an effective method to reduce emotional eating and anxiety in obese people and so is a way to help them control their weight

Objective: This study examined the mediating effect of psychological resilience on the relationship between cognitive appraisal processes and perceived social support with health behaviors and emotional well-being. Method: In a sample consisting of 409 boy adolescents, the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Special Support (MSPSS), the Stress Appraisal Measure-Revised (SAM-R), Adolescent Resilience Scale (ARS), Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile-II (HPLP-II) and the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) were administered. Structural equation modeling was used to assess the mediating effects model of psychological resilience on the relationship between cognitive appraisal processes and perceived social support with health behaviors and emotional well-being. Results: Results showed that the complete mediated model of psychological resilience on the relationship between cognitive appraisal processes and perceived social support and health behaviors and emotional well-being had a good fit to data. Furthermore, all of the regression weights in the hypothesized model were statistically significant and the psychological resilience variable accounted for 25%, 12% and 11% of the variance in health behavior, positive affect, and negative affect, respectively. Conclusion: In sum, these findings show that the part of the available variance in health behaviors and subjective well-being in the context of prediction these behavioral and emotional models by cognitive appraisals and perceived social support accounted for adolescents' psychological resilience.

Abstract:Of cardiovascular disease, coronary artery disease (CAD) is the main cause of death in human societies leads to coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) as the most common intervention. The length of hospital stay after surgery is an estimate of the success rate of surgery that cannot be completely explained by demographic and medical factors. Therefore, the objective of this study was to investigate the impact of psychological factors along with medical and demographic factors on the length of hospital stay after CABG surgery. In this study, 150 patients (30 females and 120 males) were selected from the convenience sampling method, among patients referred to Tehran Heart Center of Shahid Rajaie Hospital who were candidates for CABG surgery. Patients were asked to complete the questionnaire of 21 questions for anxiety- depression- stress (DASS-21). Stepwise regression analysis for psychological, medical and demographic variables showed that the most important variables to predict the length of hospital stay after surgery were anxiety and depression, diabetes and high blood pressure, age and gender. Thus, the results showed that the use of pre-operative assessment of these variables in the clinical setting, we can identify those patients for whom surgery may not be successful.

Objective: Many health problems arise directly from people`s behavioral choices, but people often do not behave in ways that could improve their health and extend their lives. The purpose of this study is to explore how self-compassion may play a role in relationship between self-control and health. Methods: To do so, 127 students (45 males and 82 females) of the university of Tehran filled four-dimensional measure of health questionnaire and short form of self-compassion and self-control scales. Findings: The results revealed that self-compassion and self-control were correlated positively with health and the result of hierarchical regression analysis showed the moderating effect of self-compassion on the relationship between self-control and health. So that, in the higher level of self-compassion, self-control was a better predictor of health. Conclusion: These results are discussed in terms of the role of self-compassion in the stages of self-control (setting goals, taking action, evaluation and emotion regulation).

Objective: The purpose of present study was to investigate the effect of inductive fear on the systolic and diastolic of blood pressure levels in solving classified problems of the identification concept (simple, semi complex, complex). Methods: The method of present study was experimental with pretest-posttest design having control groups. The population was undergraduate students from 8 faculties at Azahra University. A sample of 200 students selected randomly and they were assessed by Eysenek personality Inventory (Introversion – extroversion).Then a sample of 60 students who scored moderate on this test drowned as statistical samples, randomly divided into 6 (3 experimental and 3 control) groups of ten people. Each group was under taken one of different levels of concept complexity tasks as well as blood pressures were measured. The experimental groups had inductive fear film between the two sessions. The instruments were 3 different levels of constructed concept cards and as well as personality test. Data were collected by pressure meter. Data were analyzed by two-way ANOVA test. Findings: The findings showed that fear of systolic blood pressure of the groups in all three levels of homework and on diastolic blood pressure of the groups had a significant effect on two levels of simple and complex tasks (p>0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the mean diastolic blood pressure of the groups in the semi-complex assignments. Conclusion: Regarding the effect of fear on blood pressure, the importance of psychological variables in the prevention and treatment of hypertension is known.

Objective: The goal of this study was to compare facets of cognitive emotion regulation strategies in patient with migraine headache, tension headache and normal individuals. Method: The design of this study was causal- comparative and statistical study population included all patients with migraine and tension headache referred to neurology clinic of Tehran Imam Hossein Hospital at May-December 2012. The sample of study included 30 patients with migraine headache, 30 patients with tension headache and 30 normal individuals. The instrument was Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ). The data was analyzed by MANOVA and HOC Tukey test. Findings: The results showed that people with migraine headaches had less positive strategies than normal ones. Also, women in both migraine headaches and normal migraine and normal men scored higher scores in using positive strategies. Conclusion: The training of emotional regulation by promoting the emotional excitement of patients with headache improves their mental health. Therefore, teaching strategies for cognitive emotion management is suggested to this group.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the characteristics and personality dimensions extraversion vs. introversion, neuroticism versus emotional stability characteristics with adherence in patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 100 type II diabetes' patients were recruitment by convenient sampling method. Patients checked-out revised questionnaire of Eysenck Personality (short form) and questionnaire to treatment adherence. The data were analyzed by Spearman correlation test and a linear regression model and for spss software was used for data analysis. Results: there was a significant inverse correlation between the personality neuroticism traits and adherence and a significant positive correlation between personality traits - emotional stability and consistency of treatment of modes. There was not correlation between introversion and extroversion. Conclusion: The results of this study emphasize the influence of personality traits, emotional stability, and neuroticism on the adherence and treatments follow-up among diabetic patients.

Objective: This research aimed at surveying the role of predicting religiosity on tendency toward high risk behaviors in adolescent mediated by emotion regulation. Method: The statistical population of this study comprised all the students of Esfahan five areas high schools. Among them in 1391, a total of 338 people (176 male, 207 female) who were selected using random multistage cluster sampling method. The subjects completed the following questionnaires: Religiosity scale, Difficulty in Emotional Regulation scale, Iranian Adolescent Risk-Taking scale. The data were analyzed with SPSS 16 and AMOS Graphics 21 (statistical software) through path way analyses and multiple regression method. Findings: Result showed that difficulty in emotion regulation mediated to some extent between religiosity and high risk behaviors. There was independent and significant association between religiosity and high risk behaviors. Conclusion: Adolescent who have stronger religious beliefs and regulate their emotions effectively less likely to engage in risky behaviors.

Objective: The present study examined role of coping styles and personality traits in eating- disordered behaviors. Method: 331 students from Tehran university, were randomly selected using cluster sampling method. All participants filled out eating attitudes test (EAT-26), Ways of coping Questionnaire (WOCQ) and Five Factor Personality Inventory (NEO-FFI). Length, weight and body mass index were measured. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient, and multivariate regression. Results: The results revealed significant correlations between eating- disordered behaviors and Emotion-oriented coping, Task-orientated coping, agreeableness, neuroticism and Conscientiousness Personality traits. Multivariate regression data revealed that Emotion-oriented coping, Conscientiousness and agreeableness Personality traits might explain 17.5% of eating- disordered behaviors variance. Conclusion: Findings suggested that individuals develop eating-disordered behaviors as a means of encounter with problems, resulting on interaction between coping styles and personality traits

Aim: The present study aimed to examine the mediating role of anger on the relationship between negative affect and social inhibition with severity of coronary artery stenosis in a sample of patients with coronary artery disease. Method: Method of the present exploratory study was correlational. A total of 200 patients with coronary artery disease (112 men, 88 women) participated in this study. The patients were asked to complete the Multidimensional Anger Inventory (MAI) and Type D Personality Scale (DS14). Results: The results demonstrated that anger, negative affect, and social inhibition had a meaningful association with severity of coronary artery stenosis (p < .01). The results of path analysis also showed that the relationship between negative affect and social inhibition with severity of coronary artery stenosis is mediated by anger. Conclusion: It can be concluded that severity of coronary artery stenosis might be predicted by anger, negative affect, and social inhibition.
