Objective: The number of postmenopausal women worldwide is increasing, and it is expected to reach 1.1 billion by 2030. Menopause can be considered an inevitable stage of life and is associated with physiological, psychological, and social changes. This significant life event can directly and indirectly impact sexual function and quality of life. Increased perceived social support, self-compassion, and psychological hardiness can lead to higher sexual function and quality of life. Additionally, there are mediating variables between perceived social support, self-compassion, and psychological hardiness that affect the quality of life and sexual function of postmenopausal women. One of these mediating variables is attitudes toward menopause, which has not been studied in previous research in this manner. The present study aims to investigate these relationships. Given the importance of quality of life and sexual function in menopausal women, this research seeks to examine several variables related to quality of life and sexual function in women. In this regard, the mediating variable of attitude is expected to help explain this relationship. Method: This study is applied in terms of its objectives and correlational in terms of its method, specifically path analysis. The statistical population of this study consisted of 368 postmenopausal women (aged 45-60) in Zanjan in 2021. Using a cluster sampling method, a number of health centers were first selected, and then postmenopausal women who met the inclusion criteria were entered into the study using an available sampling method. Results: Of the participants, 186 individuals (64%) were aged 50-55. Additionally, 65 participants (22%) were between 56 and 60 years old, while 42
participants (14%) were aged 61-65. Regarding education, 10 participants (37%) held a high school diploma, 93 participants (32%) had less than a high school diploma, 52 participants (18%) had a bachelor's degree, and 38 participants (13%) held a postgraduate degree. In terms of employment status, 204 participants (70%) were unemployed, and 89 participants (30%) were employed. Finally, concerning According to Table 1, all Pearson correlation coefficients between variables are statistically significant at a p-value less than 0.05.
According to the results of path analysis, 0.86 of the variance of sexual performance is explained by the predictor variables in the model, and the criterion variable of sexual performance has four direct effects of perceived social support (β = 0.19), mental toughness (19. β=0), self-compassion (β=0.13) and menopause attitude (β=0.13). Also, 0.76 of the variance of the quality of life is explained by the predictor variables of the model, and the quality of life variable has four direct effects of perceived social support (β=0.23), mental toughness (β=0.23), self-compassion. Exercise (β = 0.19) and attitude towards menopause (β = 0.20) were entered. To investigate the mediating role of menopause attitude in the relationship between perceived social support, mental toughness and self-compassion with sexual performance and quality of life, the method of indirect paths was used, and the results are reported in Table 3. Based on the results of Table 3, the mediating role of attitude towards menopause in the relationship between perceived social support, self-compassion with quality of life and sexual performance was confirmed, but the mediation of attitude towards menopause in the relationship between mental toughness and quality of life and sexual performance was not confirmed. Conclusion: The quality of life and sexual function in postmenopausal women is an increasingly important research topic, especially given the growing population of women entering menopause each year. This study examined the impact of perceived social support, self-compassion, and psychological resilience on quality of life and sexual function in postmenopausal women, mediated by attitudes toward menopause. Results indicated that perceived social support, self-compassion, psychological resilience, and attitudes toward menopause had a direct and significant effect on the quality of life and sexual function of postmenopausal women. Furthermore, perceived social support, self-compassion, and psychological resilience had an indirect effect on quality of life and sexual function through attitudes toward menopause.

Objective: One of the concerns of women at a young age is physical appearance and body image. This study aimed to investigate. The effects of self-compassion training on body image concern thought–shape fusion and body compassion in female students with body image concerns. Method: The study population included all Female Students Studying In, 1399 in the Second Secondary School of the 11 Grade in Ahvaz. Using the voluntarily-convenience sampling technique among the applicants, four students who had scores higher than two standard deviations from the mean in the Body Image Concern Questionnaire were selected. A non-concurrent multiple baseline experimental single-case study was used as the method of the present study. Participants before treatment, middle of treatment (sections 1, 3, 5, & 7), end of treatment (section 9), and one month after treatment had ended completed The Body Concern Inventory (BICI), Thought-Shape Fusion Scale (TSF) and Body Compassion Scale (BCS). Data analyzed with visuals inspection, improvement percentage, and reliable change index (RCI) strategies. Findings: The results showed a stable downward trend for BCI scores and TSF and BCS that reflects the effectiveness of SCT in these variables. Conclusion: Thought-shape Fusion and physical compassion have played an important role in expressing body image concerns in young girls, and compassion training can be effective in reducing their concerns about physical appearance.

Objective: The present study was conducted to offer the model of predicting psychosocial adaptation to disease according to health-promoting behaviors with the mediation role of self-compassion in the patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Method: The research method was descriptive-correlational and path analysis. The statistical population of the study included the patients with IBS who referred to therapy centers and gastroenterologists in the city of Isfahan in the autumn and winter of 2020-21. The statistical population included 340 patients with IBS who were selected through Convenience sampling method. The applied instruments included Psycho-Social Adaptation to Disease Scale (PSADS) (Drogits, 1986), Health Promoting Lifestyle Questionnaire (HPLQ) (Walker et al, 1987) and Self-Compassion Questionnaire (SCQ) (Neff, 2003). The data analysis was conducted via path analysis and Bootstrap test. Findings: The results showed that health-promoting behaviors and self-compassion have significant relationship with psychosocial adaptation to disease (p<0.01). Moreover, health-promoting behaviors and self-compassion have direct significant effect on psychosocial adaptation to disease (p<0.01). Furthermore, the results of Bootstrap showed that self-compassion has a significant mediation role in the relationship of health-promoting behaviors with psychosocial adaptation to disease (p<0.01). Finally, the model had a suitable goodness of fit. Conclusion: According to the results of the research, self-compassion has a significant mediating role between health-promoting behaviors and psychosocial adaptation to illness

Method: The method of this research is correlational. The statistical population of this study is the eleventh and twelfth grade female students of Nowshahr city, from which 148 people were selected using the Krejcie and Morgan table by cluster sampling and They completed Kagan and Squires Compulsive Eating Scale, Addiction to Mobile-Based Social Networks questionnaire and Raes et al. Self-Compassion Scale Short Form. Findings: Descriptive indices such as mean and standard deviation were used for path analysis. Statistical results have shown that the indirect effect of eating problems due to cyberspace addiction is significant, also the indirect effect of eating problems due to positive and negative self-compassion is significant. Conclusion: The results showed that self-compassion has a moderating role in the relationship between cyberspace addiction and eating problems.

Objective: In the context of the widespread prevalence of coronavirus, self-care behaviors play an important role in individual and public health, so it is important to identify its antecedents. Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate the role of self-compassion, emotion regulation, and corona anxiety in predicting self-care behaviors of family members with Covid-19. Method: In the present cross-sectional study, a correlation design was used. The study population was family members of patients with Covid-19, and 235 people were selected by convenient methods. A self-report of 10 questions of self-care behaviors, Corona anxiety scale, emotion regulation scale, and self-compassion scale was used to collect data. Data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation and stepwise regression tests. Findings: The results showed that there is a positive and significant correlation between self-kindness (the first component of self-compassion) and psychological symptoms of corona anxiety with self-care behaviors, and there is a significant negative relationship between suppression emotion regulation strategy and self-care behaviors. But the two components of self-compassion, including common humanity, mindfulness, reappraisal emotion regulation strategy, and physical symptoms of corona anxiety don't have significantly associated with self-care behaviors. Also, self-kindness, psychological symptoms of corona anxiety, and emotion suppression strategy were predicting corona self-care behaviors. Conclusion: Therefore, in explaining the corona-virus-related self-care behaviors, paying attention to self-kindness, the psychological symptoms of coronary anxiety, and the emotion suppression strategy will help.

Objective: The present research was conducted by the aim of comparing the effectiveness of compassion-focused therapy (CFT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) on self-compassion and quality of life among women with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). Method: The present research was semi-experimental in which a pretest-posttest and follow-up with control group design was used. The research population included all the female patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus referring to the Rheumatology clinic of Imam Khomeini Hospital and Tooba clinic of Sari city, Iran, in the first half of 2019. The study sample included 60 patients who were selected by available sampling method and, then, were assigned into two experiment groups and one control group through random assignment method. All the three groups were assessed by using the Neff’s Self-Compassion Scale (2003) and the World Health Organization’s Quality of Life Questionnaire (1998) in pretest, posttest, and follow-up stages. The first and the second experiment groups respectively received the ACT and CFT interventions in eight 120-minute session in groups. Findings: Results indicated that the ACT and CFT methods have been effective on improving self-compassion and quality of life in the posttest and follow-up stages (p < 0.01). Findings affirmed that the effectiveness of CFT on improving self-compassion was greater. No significant difference was observed between the both interventions on the quality of life variable (p<0.01). Conclusion: Based on the obtained results, psychologists and health practitioners are recommended to use these two therapeutic models for reducing the psychological problems of patients with SLE.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between self-compassion with depression in women with breast cancer with mediator death anxiety. Method: This research was a descriptive-correlational study. The statistical population included all women with breast cancer referring to hospitals and medical center of Mahdieh, Imam Khomeini Hospital, Firoozgar Hospital and Pars Hospital in 1396. The sample size was 397 people who were selected and responded to Beck Depression Inventory (2001), God Attachment Questionnaire to Rowat and Kirkpatrick (2002) and Templer's Death Anxiety Questionnaire (1979). The data of this study analyzed by structural equation method and using smart PLS software. Result: The results showed that the full inflows in the present model are confirmed at a significant level (p> 0/01). These results suggest that both direct paths and indirect paths have a significant effect on depression, but the paths that are more valid to the path of anxiety of death -> depression than other paths. Conclusion: In the formation of depression in women with breast cancer, mental and spiritual factors such as self-compassion and death anxiety are involved.Their findings implied the strong relation among spirituality values and psychological constructs.

Objective: Multiple sclerosis affects the physical and psychological state of many patients. The purpose of this study was to compare perceived social support and self-compassion among patients with multiple sclerosis and normal people. Method: The present study was a causal-comparative study. In this study, 200 individuals with multiple sclerosis and 200 healthy individuals were selected by sampling method as a sample of this study in the years 1396-97. The research tools included perceived social support scale and self-compassion scale. Data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance. Results: The results showed that there is a significant difference between the group of patients with multiple sclerosis and healthy people in terms of perceived social support and self-compassion. Conclusion: People with multiple sclerosis uses perceived social support and self-compassion for more adaptation to disease.

Objective: Many health problems arise directly from people`s behavioral choices, but people often do not behave in ways that could improve their health and extend their lives. The purpose of this study is to explore how self-compassion may play a role in relationship between self-control and health. Methods: To do so, 127 students (45 males and 82 females) of the university of Tehran filled four-dimensional measure of health questionnaire and short form of self-compassion and self-control scales. Findings: The results revealed that self-compassion and self-control were correlated positively with health and the result of hierarchical regression analysis showed the moderating effect of self-compassion on the relationship between self-control and health. So that, in the higher level of self-compassion, self-control was a better predictor of health. Conclusion: These results are discussed in terms of the role of self-compassion in the stages of self-control (setting goals, taking action, evaluation and emotion regulation).

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the model of self-compassion as mediator between attachment dimensions with mental well-being in male and female personnel Sepidar prisoner city of Ahvaz was conducted. Method: 115 men and female from personnel Sepidar prison city of Ahvaz were selected by voluntary-available sampling method, and completed the Experience Close Relationship, Attachment Dimensions, Self-compassion, and Warwick-Edinburg Mental Well-being scales. The present study is descriptive-correlation and analysis of data was carried using simple correlation coefficient and h regression analysis by Baron and Kenny (1986), using SPSS-21 software. Results: The finding of self-compassion model was confirmed as mediating between anxiety and avoidant attachments and mental well-being both for direct paths and both for indirect paths. Conclusion: In result can suggest that safe attachments has role of important in health and well-being, but should not neglected of unique role of self–compassion that mediating between attachment styles and mental well-being.

Abstract Introduction : The aim of this study is to relationship of type D personality, self compassion and social support with health behaviors in patients with coronary heart disease. This research is a correlation study. Method: The research sample consisted 84 patients with CHD who were admitted in Moddaress hospital in 1389 were studied. To collect the data Demographic questioner, Type D Personality Scale, Self compassion Scale, Social support Scale and Short form 36 Health Survey performed. to analyze the data, Pearson correlation coefficiene, multiple regression and MNOVA were used. Results: The results showed that Type D personality (r=-.52), self- compassion (r=-.22) and social support (r=-.19) related to are health behaviors in patients with coronary heart disease. The results of multiple regression showed type D personality, self compassion and social support percent 30 had significant contribute in prediction of health behaviors in patients with coronary heart disease. Conclusion: The findings of important Implications is for future research, prevention, psychopathology and treatment of health behaviors in patients with coronary heart disease.
