Abstract

Objective: This research aims at shedding light on well-being psychiatric aspects of resiliency and sense of humour between patients who suffer from coronary artery disease and healthy individuals.
Method: The methodology employed is ex-post facto and the study population includes two groups of patients and healthy individuals who live in Rasht. The samples under investigation consist of two hundred participants (one hundred individuals who suffer from coronary artery disease and one hundred healthy individuals) who were examined using Well-being Organisationresiliency and sense of humour questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS-ver20, descriptive statistics and variance analysis.
Results: According to results obtained, it is proved that there is a significant difference between the two above mentioned groups from a psychiatric perspective of well- being. Regarding the gender of the two groups, it is shown that there is also a meaningful difference between the patients and healthy individuals. Considering resiliency, it is revealed that there is a meaningful difference between the two groups, but there is no significant difference between female patients and female non-patients.
Conclusion: the findings of the research indicate that from the psychiatric aspect of well- being, patients who suffer from coronary artery disease have less average of resiliency and sense of humour in comparison to healthy individuals and gender is an important aspect of it as well.
