The present research has been carried out by the aim of examining the effectiveness of cognitive behavior approach on ego strength and communication patterns among married women with breast cancer.Method: The statistical population of the study was all 40-60 year old women with breast cancer in Tabriz, among them, 30 people were selected by the available method and were randomly placed in both experimental and control groups. The Instruments of the study were a Psychological inventory of ego strength (PIES) and Christensen & Salary communication patterns questionnaire (CPQ), and data were analyzed by ANCOVA method.Result:The findings showed that the difference between two groups of the experimental and control one was significant in terms of ego strength (P Objective: Women play an important role as the core of the family, so, their health and disease directly effect on the health of the whole family and community.
