Objective: The effect of a positive treatment approach on improving sleep and reducing pain in patients with multiple sclerosis. Method: This quasi-experimental study was conducted with pre-test and post-test design. The study population consisted of all patients with multiple sclerosis referred to Multiple Sclerosis Association in Rasht city in 2018. The sample were 24 multiple sclerosis patients which assigned to three group ( experimental and control group) by random sampling. For data gathering used to PETERSBURG Sleep Quality Questionnaire and Pain Management. The experiment groups received 8 sessions of positive psychotherapy and no intervention was done for control group. Findings: Multivariate analysis of covariance was used to analyze the data Results showed that positive psychotherapy therapy increases quality of sleep and pain management in MS patients (001/0>P). Conclusion: These findings suggest that positive psychotherapy is effective on psychological variables and can be used as complementary therapies in addition to drug therapies for patients with multiple sclerosis.

Objective: Physiological signs of stress can account to a preventive factor in the treatment of cancer by weaken the immune system. This study conducted in order to investigate the effectiveness of narrative exposure therapy on improving of stress physiological indexes in women with cancer.Method: This study is a quasi-experimental study with pretest, posttest along with control group. The statistical population of this study included all female cancer patients, hospitalized in the summer of 1395 in Radiology and Oncology wards of Motahari hospital of Foolad Shahr city. The thirty person from these patients selected by purposive sampling and randomly replaced into two groups (n = 15) and control (n = 15). The biofeedback device, Manufactured by Ravan Tajhiz Company is used to collect data on the pre-test and post-test. Experimental group were received 6 sessions of 90 minutes of Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET). Collected data was analyzed by MANCOVA test using SPSS18 software. Result: there were significant differences between two groups at the variables of the skin sweating (P<0/002), S=skin temperature (0/001) and heart rate (P<001). Conclusion: The results suggest that NET could be a useful treatment for reduction of the physiological symptoms of stress in cancer patients.

Objectives: Asthma as a physical disease is influenced by psychological issues. This study determined the role of defense styles and resiliency in people with asthma can predict psychological vulnerability. Methods: This is a method of correlation. Study of 60 patients with asthma, adult (20 years) and 60 healthy subjects who were selected for sampling. Data collected for the defense of the scale, resiliency scale and psychological symptoms were short form. Research data with Pearson correlation tests, regression analysis and multivariate analysis of variance in multivariate analysis. Results: Pearson correlation test showed that the immature defense style (r=0/26), mature (r=-0/33) and resiliency (r=-0/37) with respect to significant psychological vulnerability are (PConclusion: These findings suggest that the styles of defenses and resiliency factors influencing the vulnerability of asthmatic patients are psychological. These results are important implications in the field of mental pathology, prevention and treatment to asthmatic patients.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of two non-medical treatment methods (progressive muscular relaxation and music therapy) on fatigue intensity of breast cancer patients. Method: Method of this study was experimental with design of pre-test and post-test on multi groups. The population were the total number of females who suffer from breast cancer and were introduced themselves to Shafa Partov Clinic in Ardabil province in order to radiotherapy from 2011 September until 2012 April. The samples (n=45, 16-45 years-old) were selected using available sampling and the Cancer Fatigue Scale (CFS) was used for data collection. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics plus chi square and multiple analyses of variance (MANOVA). Findings: Both treatment methods were effective on reducing of fatigue intensity of cancer patients (pConclusion: It is advised that the therapists use the progressive muscles relaxation and music technique in order to decrease fatigue in cancer patients.
